At Moonambel Primary School, we have an open-door policy and warmly welcome current and prospective families to visit our school, tour our classrooms and meet our staff and students. We believe that choosing a school is an important decision, and we encourage families to come and experience our welcoming school community for themselves.

Enrolments Welcome Throughout the Year

We welcome new enrolments throughout the school year. If you are considering Moonambel Primary School for your child, we encourage you to contact us on (03) 5357 2223 to discuss your child's enrolment and how we can support their transition to our school.

Our school follows the Victorian Department of Education's Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement and transfer of students.

To find out which school zone you live in, visit Find My School at www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au and enter your address. Moonambel Primary School also welcomes enrolments from families living outside our designated school zone, subject to Department of Education enrolment requirements.

Supporting Our Families

At Moonambel Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every child has what they need to participate fully in school life.

School uniforms are provided free of charge to our students, helping to ensure that every child can come to school feeling comfortable, confident and ready to learn.

We also work with State Schools' Relief (SSR) to support families who may need assistance with school essentials, including uniforms, footwear, school bags and other educational resources. Through this program, eligible students and families may be able to access additional support to help reduce the financial barriers associated with attending school.

Transition to Moonambel Primary School

We offer an extensive Foundation transition program to help our youngest students make a positive and successful start to their primary education. Our transition program provides opportunities for children and families to become familiar with our school, meet staff and students, explore the learning environment and develop a strong sense of belonging before starting Foundation.

For students transferring to Moonambel Primary School from another school, we work closely with families and their previous school to develop an individualised transition program where appropriate. This helps ensure that we understand each child's needs and can provide a smooth and supportive transition.

What Do I Need to Enrol My Child?

When enrolling your child, families are asked to provide:

• Proof of age, such as a birth certificate.
• A current Immunisation History Statement, which can be obtained through your Medicare/MyGov account.
• For students transferring from another school, a copy of their most recent academic reports, where available.

With your permission and as part of the enrolment process, we will liaise with your child's previous school to transfer relevant information. This helps us understand your child's learning, wellbeing and individual needs so that we can provide the right support from the beginning.
